OUR BEACHFRONT BACKYARD:
One of the things that makes Whiteshell Lake Resort so special is our beach. We're one of the only resorts in the North Whiteshell with a big, sandy beach—and it’s right out front of almost all our cabins. It’s the kind of place where kids can spend the whole day in and out of the water, and grown-ups can actually relax while keeping an eye on them.

The swimming area is roped off for safety and has a floating picnic table and swim platform that always seems to be full of laughter. Whether you're in the water or stretched out in a lawn chair with a book, it’s easy to spend the whole day down there. We’ve even made sure there are spots where you can sit comfortably and watch your kids play—no hauling gear across a public beach, no long walks to the water. Just a big backyard of sand and sunshine, waiting for you.

COMPLEMENTARY EQUIPMENT: We have a canoe, kayak, kid's kayak, pedal boat and paddle board available complementary to our cabin guests, and can be reserved in 1 hour time blocks. We offer a variety of sports equipment including tennis rackets and basketballs to be used in the nearby courts.
BIG WHITESHELL BICYCLE TRAIL: This gorgeous 4km intermediate trail winds its way through Boreal forest, over packed earth, grass, granite, and through swamp from the beginning of the trail on Highway 309 to the Big Whiteshell Campground.
RAINY DAYS: Take advantage of our mini library of books and magazines. We are happy to offer complementary board games; we try to add new games to our selection every year!
STORE/WELCOME CENTRE: At the end of the day, when you are done fishing or swimming, come visit us for a variety of treats including ice cream and slushies. We always try to have a wide array of novelty candy on hand for the kids, which, of course, means that their trip to the store will take a little while! Milk, bread, bottled water, and a variety of other grocery items are available, including the ingredients for s'mores around the campfire! Premium gasoline for boats and vehicles, oil products, and firewood are all available for purchase in our store. We offer free coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the morning to our guests.
HIKING TRAILS: There are a variety of magnificent hiking trails that range from easy to intermediate in skill level. Big Whiteshell Hiking Trail, Castle Rock, Jumping rock, Block 4 scenic overlook, and the Mantario Trail are all within easy reach of Whiteshell Lake Resort. Bannock Point Petroforms and Pine Point Rapids are a short drive away from us as well. Please visit our Welcome Centre for maps and information about any of these destinations.
